This Privacy Policy describes how Interpretation of Dreams: part of The Divine Series ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by Maulana Zubair Apabhai, collects, uses, and protects information when you use the App. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it.

1. Information We Collect

The App is designed to collect as little personal information as possible.

1.1 Anonymous device identifier

When you first open the App we generate a random, anonymous device ID and store it on your device. This ID:

Is **not** linked to your name, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
Is used only to (a) remember whether you've unlocked the full content with a one-time payment and (b) sync your bookmarks and journal entries on this device.

1.2 Dream journal entries (optional)

If you choose to use the Dream Journal feature, the text of your journal entries is stored:

Locally on your device, and
On our backend server (linked only to your anonymous device ID).

You can delete any journal entry from inside the App at any time.

1.3 AI Dream Interpretation Email feature (optional)

If you use the Send your dream feature and provide your email address:

The text of your dream and your email address are sent to our backend.
Your email address is used **once** to deliver the AI-generated interpretation, then retained only for technical audit purposes (to handle deliverability issues). It is **not** added to any marketing list.
You can request deletion at any time by emailing us (see Section 7).

1.4 Voice recordings (optional)

If you use the voice-dictation feature inside the journal, your audio is sent to OpenAI's Whisper transcription service for conversion to text and is not stored on our servers after transcription.

1.5 Purchase information

When you purchase the £0.99 lifetime unlock:

On **iOS**, the purchase is processed by **Apple StoreKit**. Apple shares with us only an anonymous receipt token, not your card details.
On **Android**, the purchase is processed by **Google Play Billing**. Google shares with us only an anonymous purchase token.
On **web**, payments are processed by **Stripe**. Stripe handles your card details directly; we never see them.
We store the anonymous purchase token + your anonymous device ID solely to verify your unlock entitlement.

1.6 We do NOT collect

Your name, address, phone number, date of birth, or other identity data.
Your contacts, photos, or location.
Any data from third-party advertising or analytics SDKs (the App does not contain any such SDKs).

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share any of this information with third parties for marketing.

3. AI Processing

The App uses two AI services to generate dream reflections and transcribe voice:

**Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4.5** — for the AI interpretation text.
**OpenAI Whisper** — for voice-to-text transcription.

These services receive only the dream text or audio you provide. They do not receive your device ID, email, or any other identifier. Their data-handling policies apply:

4. Data Storage and Security

Backend data is stored in MongoDB on a secured cloud server.
All traffic between the App and our backend is encrypted via HTTPS.
We retain anonymous data only for as long as needed to operate the App.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. The dream journal and AI interpretation features are intended for adult use; parents are encouraged to supervise children's use of the App.

6. Charity Commitment

We donate 10% of net profits from in-app purchases to Ummah Welfare Trust (UK registered charity 1000851). This donation does not involve sharing any user data with the charity.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

**Access** the data associated with your anonymous device ID.
**Delete** your journal entries from inside the App at any time.
**Request deletion** of any data linked to your device ID or email by contacting us at the address below.
**Stop using the App** at any time — uninstalling removes all locally stored data.

To exercise any of these rights, email dreams.divineseriesmobile@proton.me. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Permissions Required by the App

You can disable any optional permission at any time from your device settings without losing access to the rest of the App.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app banner.
